Review and retention of basic facts leads to individual association of prior classroom instruction, related concepts, and fills in content knowledge gaps.

American Hornbooks help students improve academic achievement, assisting schools and their districts achieve AYP, adequate yearly progress, under the NCLBA.



Funding Sources
Federal funds that may be used to purchase hornbooks:

Title I Part A    Improving the academic achievement of the   
                      disadvantaged
         Part C    Education of migratory children
         Part D    Prevention and intervention program for children and
                       youths who are neglected, delinquent, or at-risk

Title III Part A  Improving language instruction for limited English
                       proficient and immigrant students

Title IV             21st Century Schools, after-school programs for
                       students at high poverty, low-performing schools

Title V      Promoting informed programs and parental choices

Title VI Part B   Rural and low income school program

Title VII            Improving the academic achievement of Indian, native
                       Hawaiian, and Alaska native students
